Queensland filipino arts association inc.

About Us

The association was formed by high calibre and well-respected individuals in the Filipino-Australian community with a common goal of creating a platform for artistic talents as inspired by promoting harmony, creativity, and artistic excellence in the belief that “in diversified arts, we unite”. In addition, this is to encourage artistic innovation and multicultural collaboration among artists to promote cultural vibrancy, creativity and diversity.


Established on the 28 September 2018. 

Objectives

Discover and foster Filipino-Australian artists by acknowledging their artistic excellence in Australia for social, economic and cultural opportunities.


Promote and maximize the potential of Filipino-Australian talents in Arts, artistic activities and exhibition for the community and Multicultural Australia in the following Art constituents:
• Visual (painting, fine arts, drawing, photography, sculptures, arts and crafts)
• Literature (poetry, writing, drama, film)
• Performing (music, dance, theatre)
• Applied (architecture, fashion design, computer, interior design/graphic design, industrial design)
• Other types of Art


Integrate Filipino-Australian arts and cultures with other multicultural groups


Mentorship and knowledge sharing between experienced artists and young aspiring artists.


Address social solidarity and be an inspiration to promote harmony between all Filipino-Australian
organizations within Queensland and Australia.

QFAAA | BOARD OF DIRECTORS

GINA LUCK

President

Gina Luck is the President and Founding Secretary of the Queensland Filipino Australian Arts Associations Inc. (QFAAA), a role she has fulfilled since the organisation's inception in 2018. Her leadership has been pivotal in the successful establishment of QFAAA, where she has overseen processes, defined membership requirements, set organizational objectives, and managed the submission and registration for QFAAA's incorporation.

REENA GABUTERO - JOHNSON

Vice President

Reena is the Vice-President and co-founder of QFAAA. She belonged to a respected and accomplished family (Gabutero) in the town of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, Philippines. Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts & Social Work from Stella Maris College & St. Mary’s College both situated in Quezon City, Philippines. She is a fashion model of Chona Kasten, a prestigious Modelling School in Makati City, Philippines, during the early seventies before heading overseas.

JOSYL MIRANDA

Secretary

Josyl is one of the pillars and Founding Board Treasurer of QFAAA since 2018 and to date still holding the same position as Board Treasurer of the organisation. 

Josyl is a talented and impressive visual artist and a fashion couturier. She participated in many events showcasing beautiful work of arts. She also is a graceful dancer who loves

music. She is cherished by the

QFAAA team and members for her contribution as she supports the QFAAA achieve its goals and objectives.

LOIDA MORANTE

Treasurer

Loida is one of the Queensland Filipino Australian Arts Association Inc. (QFAAA) Founding Directors since establishment in 2018. Her significant contribution,

drive to succeed and achievement in her role as the previous Vice President and Director of Membership had been valuable impact to the association revenue and financial accomplishment.

Loida has long standing involvement in many Filipino organisations over the years up to present. 

FRANCO VENDRAMINI

Director

Franco was born in Switzerland to his Italian-born Dad and Swiss-Italian born Mum. His upbringing in the German-Swiss Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, in the midst of Nature, Mountains close by and open paddocks for miles. He started a career with a local Swiss company designing Curtains, Carpets and Upholstery. Exhibited paintings at the recently- created ART Association in Brisbane.

Franco has travelled to countries  taken his feelings, emotions & impressions to express them in his paintings.

LETTY VENDRAMINI

Director

Letty Vendramini’s career blends the arts with social work, using her background in philosophy, English, and communication to foster empathy, critical thinking, and storytelling. Her interest in the arts informs her teaching and counseling, emphasizing human connection, cultural narratives, and emotional healing, showcasing the transformative power of the arts in education and community service.
